I was given a very important job, granted a full permission to do it on my won and trusted to complete a task that is crucial to the overall satisfaction with the holiday- booking a hotel. And I did a marvellous job! And it is not only my opinion.
For almost a week we stayed at Cordis Hotel on the Kowloon Island. We booked our room almost a month in advance and received 20% discount however I confused the dates and booked an extra night on Saturday when in fact we arrived on Sunday morning- as you can see organisation is at the top of my skills. I decided to treat us to a little bit of luxury and we booked a club level studio- above 36th floor, private check in, breakfast, snacks and drinks throughout the day included.
Check in was very smooth and pleasant- while the paperwork was being taken care of, we enjoyed a cup of green tea and the views of Hong Kong- the very first glimpse of the city from above. Our little apartment situated on the 41st floor had (as you can imagine) amazing views- sunsets in Hong Kong are pretty spectacular. A Nespresso machine and complimentary, unlimited supply of coffee capsules definitely is a great ideas because NYC in not the only place in the world that doesn’t sleep. Our little kitchen was very well=equipped- we did not use it a lot apart from the fridge- chilled bamboo juice is delicious! A sitting area, 2 flat TVs, a desk, a comfy armchair, massive and comfortable bed, plenty of storage- you could move in! That leaves us with the bathroom- spot on! A fantastic shower (that was at the time when we were fighting with our forever breaking shower back in the UK so we appreciated it even more), a big bath…of course with a view! And if that still was not enough- how about a swimming pool, a jacuzzi and sunbathing areas on the very top of the building. Bliss!
Since we arrived early afternoon and just missed our breakfast we were offered dine in service- do you think it was rude of me to order Japanese breakfast?
